The mission of Nique's Performing Arts Academy is to provide a rigorous, standards-based education through arts-integrated learning, cultivating creativity, confidence, and academic excellence in every student, including neurodivergent learners, rooted in the belief that all can learn
with art.
Program Overview
The academy combines traditional academic instruction with arts-integrated teaching methods. Core subjects include English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies, delivered through experiential, creative, and performance-based instruction. Electives include music production, dance, theater, visual arts, 3D design, and creative writing.

Meet Our Founder
Meet Dwanique Smith, a passionate educator, former teacher, national recording artist, and creative visionary dedicated to helping children thrive through the power of the arts. Her experience working with students from diverse backgrounds inspired her to create Nique's Performing Arts Academy, a school designed for children who need a more personalized, creative, and supportive approach to learning. Dwanique believes that every child learns differently and deserves an environment where they feel seen, encouraged, and empowered to succeed. Through music, movement, storytelling, and hands-on learning, she has created a space where creativity and academics work together to build confidence and growth. Her commitment to maintaining small class sizes and a neurodivergent-friendly environment reflects her heart for meeting students where they are while helping them reach their full potential. Guided by the motto, “All Can Learn With Art,” Dwanique’s mission is to inspire children and families through meaningful education rooted in creativity, compassion, and purpose.
